Contractor and Resale Pricing

We offer special pricing for professionals in the horticulture industry, landscape contractors, and conservation and restoration non-profits in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Email us at plantsales@bonaterradc.com to set up an account for easy ordering!

We want your native plantings to be successful, and we are happy to help you with plant selection for your specific site. Call (don’t email) Jeremy at (703) 407-0718 with your questions or for plant recommendations. Calling is best since he’s usually working in the nursery without hands free to type or text, and so we can help you as quickly as possible.

Discount Tiers

Due to time and transportation costs, those applicable to receive discounts can either receive their discount and pay the DC pick-up/delivery fee or waive the discount and pay no fees. Please note which option you are choosing when placing your order.

For orders for nursery pick-up, resellers will receive a 10% discount, and landscape contractors and conservation/restoration non-profits receive a 20% discount.

How to Order:

1. Refer to our Native Plant Inventory List at the bottom of the page for the species of native plants, sizes, and quantities available to begin making your plant list. As industry specialists, you are expected to refer to our inventory list when creating your plant list.
2. As a contractor or horticulture professional, you are expected to have a knowledge base about native plants, and we are happy to answer specific questions about the native plants we carry and help with plant selection for your specific site. If you have questions about plant quantities, please email plantsales@bonaterradc.com. For plant recommendations or substitutions, call (703) 407-0718. By accepting these discount prices, you agree to:
   • Refer to our Native Plant Inventory List to see which plants are currently available or call (703) 407-0718 to check future availability when creating your plant list.
   • Save and return the pots for reuse! Pots are made from non-recyclable plastic, so we want to make sure they get as many uses as possible! You can return pots to the nursery or bring them to our DC office. We have a specific need for plug trays and holders and quart-sized containers and trays. We’ll also take pots from other nurseries!
   • Either pick-up your order from our nursery in Indian Head, MD (call Jeremy to schedule) or office in Washington, DC (weekly, on Wednesdays). We do not provide delivery to contractors or non-profits.
3. Email us at plantsales@bonaterradc.com or use the form below with your plant list to place your order. Be sure to include container sizes and quantities of each species you would like to order. Please note whether you prefer to pick up your order at either our nursery in Indian Head MD, our office in Washington, DC, or prefer delivery.
   • Nursery pick-ups in Indian Head, MD are by appointment only. Make sure you have already submitted your order so we can have it ready for you, and call Jeremy at (703) 407-0718 when you’re on your way so he knows when to expect you. Please note: since the nursery is also a residential property, you MUST call Jeremy to get the address.
     • If you are a returning customer to our Indian Head, MD location and want to pick-up plants the same or following day, you can call Jeremy at (703) 407-0718 ahead of time to have your order prepared. We will bill you the next available office day.
     • If you are a returning customer to our Indian Head, MD location and want to schedule an order pick-up a week or more in advance, please email your order with the information listed above to plantsales@bonaterradc.com.
   • DC pick-ups are contactless, although Contractors with large orders may require special arrangements for picking up orders in DC. The office is located in Northwest DC, and once your order has been placed, we will provide you with the address when following up on your order. Orders usually arrive on Wednesdays, and you will receive a confirmation photo via email when your plants have arrived and are ready for pick-up. Please do not come to pick up orders before receiving your confirmation photo. After receiving your confirmation photo, your order can be picked up at your convenience. We recommend picking up plants within 48 hours of receiving your confirmation photo.
4. Nursery pick-ups are encouraged for Contractors, Resellers, and anyone with large orders (so we offer big discounts!), and is available on weekdays as well as weekends. The nursery is located in Indian Head, MD, and once your order has been placed, we will provide you with the address when following up on your order. Make sure to call Jeremy at (703) 407-0718 before heading to the nursery on your scheduled pick-up date to receive any important information.
5. Confirm your order with our office and receive an invoice for review. Our office is open 9 am to 5 pm Thursdays and Fridays. All orders are field-checked to confirm each plant’s health and availability, and our office will call or email you to confirm your order and your pick-up or delivery date. Once your order and mode of receipt is confirmed, you will receive an invoice via Quickbooks for you to review. You can pay the invoice online with a credit card (there is a 3% online payment fee) or by check or ACH/direct transfer and avoid the fee. We will send you the mailing address with your invoice.
6. After the invoice is created, we will place your plants on our reserve list and add your order to our schedule for pick-up or delivery. If you need to change your order or reschedule your plant pick-up or delivery, email plantsales@bonaterradc.com for a response on a Thursday or Friday or call Jeremy directly at (703) 407-0718 with an immediate need.
